The founder opened shop in Alpharetta, Ga. In early 1987 and focused primarily on pool enclosures. Most metal ornamental fences back then were custom shop built. They were, as today, expensive and self destructing due to rust. Aluminum panels that were screwed together started to show up as the answer to the rusty expensive wrought iron, but, it was soon discovered that the flyweight panels just didn't hold up against the wares of children, pets and landscapers.

In the early 90's Ameristar introduced a steel fence with a remarkable paint coating that would resist corrosion and of course was much heavier and stronger than its aluminum counterpart. The founder of Xtreme Fence dealt with almost every aluminum and steel fence on the market and soon realized that what people really wanted was the weight and welded strength of wrought iron with the rust free feature of aluminum.

After many years of trial and error he decided to start his own manufacturing facility to produce a real hand welded fence panel which would fill the giant void between the overpriced and mass produced kit fences in a box and the custom weld shop fencing.
